Minted Poker Review

Important Update: As of February 10, 2012, Minted Poker or any poker room in the Everleaf Network, will no longer be able to accept any players from France and the United States.  The Everleaf Network has been experiencing some heat from the DOJ and have voluntarily withdrawn from the U.S market after a U.S processor seizure.  Player funds were ring fenced, so making a withdrawal shouldn't (hopefully) be much of an issue.  The Network wasn't as popular in the U.S as it was in Europe, with about 20% of the traffic coming from the United States during the peak traffic hours.
Minted Poker was one of the better online poker rooms for Americans, at least when it came to promotions and withdrawal times, at the time it decided to stop accepting Americans.  There is not a whole lot of players or large poker tournaments here, but that shouldn't stop you from opening an account at Minted Poker.  The poker bonus, the rakeback and the rake races can make up for the shortfall of players.  Sometimes it is nice to play at an online poker room that feels the need to provide regular promotions for their players.  Minted Poker would also be a good fit, for the players that can't seem to win at Pokerstars.  Some of the weakest players can be found here at the Minted Poker room, which makes it quite a bit easier to build up a bankroll.  One of the reasons why the games are easier here, is because the players that play multiple tables, don't like the software much.  This helps keeps the games loose, because most multi table players are tight players trying to squeeze out a small profit.  Players that typically play one or two tables at a time are usually casual players looking to play poker for fun and not for profit.  This would be a good place to play if you are having troubles building a bankroll somewhere else.
Minted Poker is one of the few poker rooms that will allow you to check out the poker room before signing up for an account.  After clicking on one of our links you can click on the Minted Poker logo, then click on the Instant Play button.  Here you will be taken to the instant play poker room.  Note, you might have to hold down the "Ctrl" button and while clicking the instant play button to open the poker room in another window.  Once inside you can view the poker tournaments and poker tables and decide whether or not you want to make a small deposit here.

Minted Poker Promotionss

Get a 100% bonus up to $400 and receive 40% of the rake you paid back into your account on a weekly basis.  The promotions are one of the biggest reasons why Minted Poker is becoming a popular room in the online poker community.  There are rake races, 40% rakeback, new player freerolls and a $400 new player bonus.  The traffic is not here yet, but that could change in the coming months.
Not everyone is entitled to the 40% rakeback.  To get the 40% rakeback you will need to have "USARAKEBACK" (code still works, even though Americans can no longer sign up) typed in the special bonus code box when you sign up for a Minted Poker account.  You will also need to use the bonus code "Mint1000" to claim your $400 when you make your first deposit.

Minted Poker Freerolls

There are freerolls that have a $1 prize pool.  The prize pool will increase as player re-buy in for $0.05.  Depending on the amount of players the final prize pool can vary from $1 to $4.  There are also World Series freerolls step series.  Two entries are won and are worth about $3.30 each.  There are also $15 freerolls and a monthly $500 new depositor free poker tournament on the 15th of each month.

Poker Tables

There are Texas Holdem and Omaha cash tables, but only the Texas Holdem no limit tables will have any kind of traffic on them.  The traffic is at its peak during the early hours for North American players.  Only micro and low stake players will find a table to play at.  There are few if any high stake poker tables at the Minted Poker room.

Poker Tournaments

The tournament schedule has micro and low limit poker tournaments.  The traffic is fairly small as well, but that could be a good thing.  While playing at a Minted Poker tournament you won't have to have an entire night free to play.  Also it doesn't matter how many mid to high stakes tournaments there are if you are a low stake poker player.
